Click here for part one. The photo below is of a billboard on display in Richmond, Virginia as of December 2014.
The model was chosen from stock images without regard to his sexual orientation or being a twin. It turned out the model has no twin but is gay and was upset by the billboard.
The photo below is of a billboard by a pro-LGBT organization called Planting Peace that hopes to put it up as a response.
I was born gay?
Consider the following:
No one knows what causes heterosexuality, homosexuality, or bisexuality. ~ Association of Gay and Lesbian Psychiatrists, directly quoting the American Psychiatric Association
I encourage the model and Planing Peace to send in their evidence. I’m sure these pro-gay mental health organizations would love to hear their proof.
Some people believe that sexual orientation is innate and fixed; however, sexual orientation develops across a person’s lifetime. ~ American Psychiatric Association
Oh, never mind.
Sexual orientation is commonly discussed as if it were solely a characteristic of an individual, like biological sex, gender identity, or age. This perspective is incomplete because sexual orientation is defined in terms of relationships with others. ~ American Psychological Association
Since “relationships with others” happens after birth, sexual orientation cannot be inborn. Never mind again.
So their response is either to lie or misinform due to ignorance. Either way, never mind.
