Who’s right is it to Judge?

A judgment is a decision according to the dictionary. It is therefore impossible not to judge.

In Matthew 7,  Jesus says not to judge but most people take him out of context and do not read his full thought. His focus was not to judge hypocritically.  He even stated people should judge once they’re dealt with their own sin.

I never hear righteous people say, “don’t judge me.”  People who are trying to do the right thing want their wrongs pointed out so they can stop them.  The only people I hear saying the “don’t judge” line are the ones who want their sins ignored.

Did God make people sinners?

Did God make people as sinners?  If He did, doesn’t this make God responsible for sin?  Isn’t it contradictory for God to make people as sinners and then punish them for being the way He made them?  In addition, wouldn’t this make the Gospel counter-productive: for God to solve a problem the He Himself made by creating people sinful?

  • One cannot give or make what they do not have.  There is no sin in God; therefore, He has no sin to give to others.

James 1:13  Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God,” for God cannot be tempted with evil, and he himself tempts no one.

  • So if God is not the creator of sin, where did it come from?

James 1:14-15   But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire. 15 Then desire when it has conceived gives birth to sin, and sin when it is fully grown brings forth death.

  • I don’t know about you, but my parents made me.  God has only ‘made’ two people, Adam and Eve.  They were made perfect with no sin.  When they chose to sin, sin entered humanity and is passed on through human reproduction.
  • Part of Adam and Eve’s perfection was the ability to love.  True love requires choice – whether to give it, accept it or reject it.  Forced or programmed love is no love at all.  So was it better for God to make two people with the capacity to love as opposed to robots?  Apparently God thought loving human beings were better than ones incapable of love.  Since the greatest commandment and the reason God created humanity is to love Him, to create people without the ability to love would eliminate the main reason for creating humanity in the first place.
