Why do Christians require evidence for evolution but not for God?

I require both.

Most Christians I know believe in evolution: the repeatable, observable, and falsifiable aspects. It’s the unrepeatable, unobservable, and unfalsifiable claims that have more to do with supporting atheism than scientific truth that we objection to.  For example, how would one prove to an committed evolutionist than man and apes did not evolve from a common ancestor? It can’t be proven one way or the other – it’s an unfalsifiable claim and therefore, not a known scientific fact.

Why do Christians generalizing atheists wrong?

I wouldn’t have a problem if the generalizations were correct, i.e. “Atheists are normal, sane people. They just don’t believe in deities, and while many don’t for emotional reasons, the majority of them don’t believe for logical reasons.”

Instead I’m seeing, “Atheists don’t believe because they enjoy that freedom from God, and therefore don’t seek him.”

This is an interesting example considering how much atheists like to call Christians crazy these days.

Instead I’m seeing, “Atheists don’t believe because they enjoy that freedom from God, and therefore don’t seek him.”

#1 Another interesting example considering atheists label themselves ‘free thinkers,’ – free from God to enjoy thinking as they please. I hear atheists say they enjoy being free from God belief all the time.

#2 There are also passages in the bible that explain why Christians view atheists as they do. For example:

Romans 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth. 19 For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. 20 For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.

#3  Christians should keep the Golden Rule in mind whenever referring to anyone in any way.
